Jakarta, December 1^th 2025 - The Islamic Guidance and Counseling Study Program (BPI), Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences (FDIKOM) UIN Jakarta again presented international academic activities through the implementation of the Visiting Lecture in the Social Psychology course. This event presents a guest speaker, Dr. Menhaz Gul from the University of Peshawar, Pakistan, who conveys a global perspective on social dynamics and human behavior in a cross-cultural context especially in social media.

Artiarini Puspita Arwan, M.Psi, as the course instructure opened the discussion by reviewing the implementation of social influence on social media. Second year students pf the Islamic Guidance and Counseling Program attended the activity in this Social Psychology class. Students get the opportunity to have a face-to-face discussion with international academics, expanding their understanding of social issues from a global perspective.

In his explanation, Dr. Menhaz Gul emphasized the importance of understanding the power of media on influencing society nowadays and how its theoretically explained. She also shared various research results relevant to the development of social psychology in various countries, including Pakistan. Students' enthusiasm can be seen from the many questions asked and active discussions throughout the session.

Artiarini Puspita Arwan, M.Psi said that this activity is part of the study program's efforts to enrich students' insight as well as expand international academic networks. This Visiting Lecture activity is expected to continue to improve learning quality and student competence of Islamic Guidance and Extension students.
