UIN Jakarta Students Hold 28th Preaching Safari in Bangunharja Village, Ciamis

CIAMIS, As many as 200 students of the Islamic Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, held the 28th Da'wah Safari activity in Bangunharja Village, Cisaga District, Ciamis Regency, West Java.

The 24-day activity carries the theme "Stepping Together to Pursue Hope to Realize Change in Synergy of Togetherness." The opening ceremony was held on Friday, January 10, 2024 at 13.00 WIB and was attended by the ranks of Muspida, Muspika, community leaders, and was officially opened by the Head of Bangunharja Village, Carikin, S.Ag., M.Pd.

Human Resource Development and Service
In his speech, Carikin welcomed the students of UIN Jakarta. Then he hoped that this activity could provide benefits to the local community.

"Welcome to all students, hopefully you will feel at home in our village and can blend in with the community. Hopefully this activity can improve human resources (HR) and become a learning space for Bangunharja residents," said Carikin.

This Dakwah Safari aims to strengthen social values and students' sense of caring by mingling directly with rural communities. It is hoped that participants can apply the knowledge they learn in college in community life.

Gratitude and Enthusiasm of the Residents in the Dakwah Safari
Ahmad Jauhari, or Jeje as he is familiarly known, as the head of the event, expressed his gratitude to the Village Government and Karang Taruna for their warm welcome to the group of students.

Meanwhile, the Head of Karang Taruna Bangunharja Village, Isep Iman Hidayatullah or Kang Isep, expressed his pride. Because his village was chosen as the location for this year's Safari Dakwah activity.

"We are proud and grateful that our village was chosen as the center of Safari Dakwah activities. Welcome to all students, hopefully you will feel at home and enjoy the atmosphere in our village," said Kang Isep.

Series of Activities and Expectations
Over the next 24 days, students will carry out various activities, such as:

  • Religious and social counseling.
  • Teaching to village children.
  • Community empowerment activities.

It is hoped that this activity will not only strengthen the relationship between students and the community. But also bring a positive impact on improving the quality of education and social life in Bangunharja Village.
