The Department of Da'wah Management at the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences of the State Islamic University Jakarta held an international seminar in the Theater Room on the 2nd floor of FDIKOM on Monday (4/5/2026).

The seminar was held under the theme “The Transformation of Da’wah in the Digital Era,” highlighting the importance of adapting da’wah in the face of rapidly advancing digital technology.

The event opened with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Communication Sciences at UIN Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Gun Gun Heryanto, M.Si., and the Head of the Da’wah Management Program, Dr. H. Amirudin, M.Si. In their remarks, both emphasized the importance of strengthening the academic foundation of da’wah to effectively address contemporary challenges, particularly in the digital age.

The seminar then continued with a presentation by the keynote speaker, Professor of Islamic Jurisprudence and Da’wah from Syria, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abu Al-Fath Al-Bayanuni, an alumnus of Al-Azhar University in Cairo.

In his presentation, he explained that da'wah needs to evolve in step with the massive wave of digitalization that is shaping how people access information and interact.
