MKPI Research and Issue Actualization
On Friday (01/03), the Master's Program in Islamic Broadcasting Communication Studies (MKPI) held another session for discussing thesis research that garnered attention. Dewi Laras Lestari, one of the researchers, highlighted a crucial topic in her research: "Fatwa MUI No. 83 of 2023 from the Perspective of Communication Strategy Management and Islamic Communication."
Laras's research highlights the lack of socialization regarding Fatwa MUI No. 83 among the Muslim community, resulting in a significant portion of them disregarding its content. The discussion in this session is focused on efforts to strengthen the theories that Laras will use to analyze the impact of Fatwa MUI No. 83 from the perspective of communication strategy management and Islamic communication.
Meanwhile, Nur Ikhsan Aldi's research entitled "Empathy and Homophily Political Communication Model: A Study of Airin Rachmi Diany in Garnering Votes in the 2024 Legislative Election (DPR-RI)" also attracted attention. Aldi plans to investigate the communication model used by Airin Rachmi Diany in her campaign as a Legislative Candidate for the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR-RI) in the 2024 General Election.
In the discussion session led by the Program Secretary, Muhammad Fanshoby, the students delved into detail about the research methods that Aldi will use, especially in gathering data and analyzing the political communication conducted by Airin Rachmi Diany. The discussion also addressed the relevance of empathy and homophily theories in the context of political communication as well as the political campaign strategies to be implemented.
Meanwhile, the Head of the MKPI Program, Tantan Hermansah, emphasized that this activity is part of a series aimed at expediting the graduation of master's students.[/THM]
