Director of Umrah and Special Hajj Development, Director General of PHU, Ministry of Religion, Ready to Collaborate with FDIKOM UIN Jakarta Regarding the Implementation of Special Hajj
Jakarta, January 22, 2025 – The Directorate General of Hajj and Umrah Organization, Director of Umrah and Special Hajj Development is ready to collaborate with the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences (FDIKOM) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta in implementing programs related to the implementation of special hajj. This meeting took place in the meeting room of the Director of Umrah and Special Hajj Development and was attended by the Director of Umrah and Special Hajj Development H. Nugraha Stiawan S.Sos.I., M.Ak., CGCAE., Deputy Dean 2 Dr. Rubiyanah MA., Head of the S1 Da'wah Management Study Program Amirudin M.Si., Head of the S2 Da'wah Management Study Program Dr. Cecep Castrawijaya, MA. MM., and representatives of the S2 Da'wah Management students and alumni of S1 MD Siti Sofiah Rahmawati, S.Sos.
The meeting aimed to discuss potential cooperation in organizing special hajj, which is a service for pilgrims who want to perform the hajj pilgrimage more comfortably and organized. Vice Dean 2 Dr. Rubiyanah MA. stated the importance of collaboration between educational institutions and the government in improving the quality of services to hajj pilgrims.
"This collaboration is very strategic, especially in developing programs that can support the implementation of special hajj. We from FDIKOM are ready to contribute through curriculum development and training for hajj guides," explained Vice Dean 2.
The Head of the S1 Da'wah Management Study Program and the Head of the S2 Da'wah Management Study Program also emphasized that this collaboration will not only improve the quality of service, but will also provide opportunities for students to be directly involved in relevant programs.
"Our students will gain valuable experience through field practice and internship programs related to the organization of the Hajj. This is a golden opportunity to learn directly from practitioners in the field," said the Head of the S1 Study Program.
The Director of Umrah and Special Hajj Development who attended the meeting expressed his commitment to support this collaboration initiative. "We greatly appreciate the faculty's steps to collaborate in organizing special hajj. By combining academic knowledge and field practice, we can improve the quality of service to pilgrims," explained H. Nugraha Stiawan S.Sos.I., M.Ak., CGCAE.
Through collaboration between the Director of Umrah and Special Hajj Development, Director General of PHU, Ministry of Religion and FDIKOM UIN Jakarta, it is expected that the implementation of special hajj can be better, provide a more satisfying worship experience for the congregation, and strengthen the role of the faculty in supporting government programs in the field of hajj and umrah. With this collaboration, the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences is committed to continuing to contribute to the development of hajj services in Indonesia.
